The Wind Shark is a self-starting, vertical axis wind turbine that was specifically designed to start up and operate in lower winds than conventional wind turbines. Because it can work in lower winds, it doesn’t require expensive towers with guy wires to hold it up into the higher wind areas.

This means you don’t need a lot of real estate to own one and won’t have as many problems with municipal height restrictions as you would with a conventional turbine. It can handle turbulent winds easily and doesn’t even need to be furled in high wind conditions. It’s very quiet while operating and is also very pleasing to look at so it won’t bother your neighbours at night. Its smooth forward face lets it shed water and snow.
